As the largest nation in Indonesia, the Java community population reaching 100 million more. That has not included a sub-culture of Java, such as Osing society at Banyuwangi in East Java and Tengger tribe at around Bromo Mountain East Java. Most of the population living in Java, Central Java and East Java. Besides scattered throughout the provinces in Indonesia, Javanese has also spread in Malaysia, Suriname (South America) and the Islands of New Caledonia in the South Pacific.
Based on the relationship between speaker and listener (typically specified levels of social strata or different ages), the Java language has rules and vocabulary differences in intonation. Most converts to Islam as well as Protestant and Catholic. In addition, there are Buddhist and Hindu religions. There is also an indigenous religious belief, known as ‘Kejawen’ - typical of Javanese religion - which is generally attributed to syncretism of belief.
Javanese society is generally described as a polite, soft, well sealed, and not want to be honest. This property, reputedly based character of the Javanese people who want to maintain harmony, and avoid conflict. They also tend to be silent and did not argue when there is a difference of opinion. Nevertheless, in some areas in East Java, for example in the city of Surabaya, the population has an egalitarian nature, straightforward, open, frankly, what it is, and do not like the preamble.
